Terms of service

These terms apply to the following services: Inheritance in Italy, Italian traffic fine check and appeal, IMU for overseas owners, Sworn translation English–Italian. They are provided by GN International Distribution Ltd, company no. 16456616, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, Londra WC2H 9JQ, Regno Unito (“Pratiq”, “we”). Version of 31 October 2026.

1. What we do, and what we don’t

We deal with Italian offices on your behalf: we gather documents, calculate taxes and amounts, prepare and file requests and appeals that do not require a lawyer, and arrange translations. Some parts are carried out by independent professionals we work with, such as Italian accountants (commercialisti) and translators, who are responsible for their own professional work. We are not a law firm and we do not represent you in court. Where your case needs a lawyer, we tell you.

2. Quotes

For services marked as quote-based, the assessment is free. The quote is fixed: it states what is included, the price and the expected timing. You pay only if you accept it. A quote is valid for 30 days.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in euro and include VAT where applicable. Payment is taken by Stripe. Taxes, fines and duties owed to the Italian State or to a town are never included and are paid by you directly to the authority: we never hold money on your behalf for them.

4. Traffic fine check and appeal

The fine check is a written opinion based on the documents you send. If you buy the check and appeal package and our check finds no real grounds for an appeal, we tell you and refund €100; the remaining €29 covers the check. An appeal is never certain to succeed. If an appeal to the Prefetto is rejected, the authority can ask for a higher amount than the original fine: we explain this risk in writing before filing, and we file only after you sign the appeal.

5. IMU yearly service

The subscription renews automatically every year on the date you subscribed, at the price shown at that time; we email you before each renewal. You can cancel at any time by replying to any of our emails; cancellation stops the next renewal. We calculate the amounts on the basis of the information available to us and the rates published by your town; you remain responsible for paying the tax. If an amount we calculated turns out to be wrong because of our mistake, we refund the service fee for that year and pay any penalty arising from our error.

6. Translations

Translations are made by professional translators. Sworn translations are sworn before an Italian court, justice of the peace or notary. Whether an office accepts a translation is decided by that office: before quoting, we tell you what the office you named usually requires.

7. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you may withdraw within 14 days of your order. By asking us to start work immediately, you accept that once a service has been fully performed you lose this right, and that if you withdraw after we have started you pay for the work already done.

8. Your documents and data

We use your documents and data only to provide the service, and share them only with the offices and professionals involved. See the privacy notice.

9. Liability and complaints

We work with care and follow up with the offices until the work is done. We are not responsible for delays or decisions of public offices. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service concerned, except where the law does not allow such a limit.
