What we collect

• Your ancestor’s details: names, places, dates and any notes you add.
• Your details: name, email, phone, mailing address and your relationship to the ancestor.
• Your signed authorization: typed name, signature, date, IP address and browser.
• A copy of your ID, only if an Italian office requires it.
• Payment status from Stripe. We never see your full card number.

Why we use it

To carry out your order (the contract between us) and to meet our legal and tax obligations.

Who we share it with

• The Italian offices and parishes we request records from: your authorization, the details they need and, if required, your ID.
• DHL, to deliver the originals.
• Our providers: Stripe (payments), Resend (emails), Vercel and Supabase (hosting and storage). Some process data outside the UK and the EU with appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

For as long as your order is open and then as long as our legal and tax obligations require. Copies of your ID are deleted once the records are delivered.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to support@pratiqonline.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority, such as the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Depending on where you live, for example in California, you may have additional rights, which you can exercise the same way.
